We all know SEO is Stands for Search Engine Optimization.
Search engine optimization is the method of changing the position of a site or a page in a
search engine's search results or Organic or Natural results.SEO is a online marketing used by understanding how search algorithms work and what human visitors might search.

To start SEO of the website, it is important to understand how search engines work and which substances are the most important in SEO.


Let's start with How Search Engine Works ?

Search engines perform numerous activities in order to provide the best search results to users. These are the following activities:

  • Indexing 
  • Processing 
  • Calculating Relevancy
  • Retrieving Results 

Crawling: Crawling is the process of fetching all the web pages linked to a web site. The process of fetching web pages linked to a web sites is performed by the software called spider or crawler

Indexing: Indexing is the process of creating index for all the fetched web pages and keep them into a huge database from where it can be retrieved later .

Processing: This process compare the search string in the search request with the indexed pages in the database.

Calculating Relevancy: In this step search engine starts calculating the relevancy of each of the pages in its index to the search string.

Retrieving Results  - Finally in the last step in search engines' activities is retrieving the best
corresponding results. Actually, it is nothing more than displaying them in the browser.

What is On-page and Off-page SEO ?

Hypothetically, there are two ways of SEO

  • On-Page SEO- On-Page Optimization means controlling a website or web pages by us or by our page coding. This includes website audit, providing good content, keywords research, keywords placement, giving appropriate title and descriptions to every page and many more.

  • Off-Page SEO - Off Page Optimization is the types of SEO that are not controlled by the page coding. Examples of Off-page optimization are Link building, Blog posting, Image Sharing, Document Sharing, Video Sharing, Info graphics submission, Increasing Page Rank and Page Authority, Article submission, and the last but not the least Getting high quality links from relevant sites etc.
